Stadium Group’s Regional Design Centres (RDCs) provide focused dedicated design and R&D support for the development of wireless connectivity, power and HMI technologies.
The dedicated engineering teams based at the RDCs in the UK, Sweden and China are the experts in their fields, driving technology developments in power management, wireless IoT connectivity, green products and miniaturisation.
The regional design centre for connected technologies development in Sweden is located at the Kista Science City near Stockholm. The site delivers customer-focused, design-led development of wireless devices. Steered by high calibre electronics design engineers and technical specialists whose expertise is in the areas of mobile connectivity and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Kista Science City AB is the largest Information and Communication Technology (ICT) cluster in Europe and the third largest ICT cluster in the world. Kista Science City, or the Nordic Silicon Valley as it is also called, is the home of more than 1,000 ICT companies and the birthplace of wireless communication technologies such as NMT, GSM, EDGE and W-CDMA.
The regional design centre in China delivers research and development in design-led technologies for global OEM markets.
Delivered by a team of expert design engineers and field application engineers, specialising in wireless, RF and power.
The design facility in China is supported by the group’s global manufacturing operation in Dongguan and regional fulfilment centre in Hong Kong, providing end-to-end design, manufacturing and fulfilment in the Asia region.
The regional design centre for power in Norwich delivers custom product design and the development of power technologies.
Based at Norwich Research Park and connected to local universities, the power RDC is well positioned to facilitate leading Stadium’s technology developments in power management, wireless connectivity, green products and miniaturisation.
The facility features a fully equipped laboratory, exclusively for the design, prototype and test of power products and is home to the UK power engineering team. It contains rapid prototyping equipment including 3D printers and an extensive suite of other test equipment including EMC measurement for emissions and susceptibility, thermal analysis, lifetime testing and power analysis.
The regional design centre for HMI technologies operates adjacent to the Eastleigh HMI manufacturing facility. The RDC is focused on developing the interface, displays and HMI technology roadmap for the group and has already delivered a stream of innovations including thin film backlighting, capacitive switch modules and touch to exit products.
Our internal design and engineering team offer expertise in Hardware, Software, and System Integration for HMI solutions, able to provide both rapid turn-round prototyping and low-cost volume manufacturing.
